== 개요 ==
미국 부통령(Vice President of the United States / VP)은 [[미국 헌법 (51번째 주)|미국 헌법]]에 의해 [[미국 대통령 (51번째 주)|미국 대통령]]이 임기 도중 사망하거나 사임, 탄핵, 대통령의 직무를 수행하지 못할 상황이 생길 경우 대통령 자리를 승계하는 1순위 직책으로 [[미국 상원의장 (51번째 주)|미국 상원의장]]직을 겸한다.

현직 미국 부통령은 [[2020년 미국 대통령 선거 (51번째 주)|2020년 미국 대통령 선거]]에서 당선된 제49대 [[카멀라 해리스 (51번째 주)|카멀라 해리스]]으로, 미합중국 헌법에 따라 2021년 1월 20일 정오에 공식 취임하였다.
